The most important cryptocurrency in the market has reached a new all-time price high near USD $75,000 as Donald Trump is announced as the chosen canidate in the U.S. presidential election.
Trump was chosen as the 47th president of the United States, achieving a notorious political comeback for a former president who refused to accept defeat four years ago, generated a violent insurrection in the U.S. Capitol, was convicted on felony charges and survived two assassination attempts during his campaign before returning to The White House.
The representative for the Republican party had as a contender Vice President Harris Kamala in a tight election in which he won with 71 million votes (51%), compared to 66 million votes (47.5%) of his Democratic rival, according to data published by The Associated Press (AP).
Bitcoin was able to asecond its price by more than 10% on Tuesday night U.S. Eastern time to push off its past price high of USD $73,700 as preliminary election results indicated Trump as the victor on Election Day. Amid the bullish action Bitcoin hit an all-time high of USD $75,361 in early Wednesday trading.
The broad cryptocurrency market jumped as Bitcoin and some of the major assets hit yearly highs
Solana (SOL) stood out among the day’s most bullish stocks, up nearly 15% in the past 24 hours. SOL touched a high of USD $187.93 in the early morning hours in the Eastern U.S., marking a new multi-year high, according to CoinMarketCap data; even though it is still below its all-time record price of USD $260 recorded in November 2021.
Dogecoin (DOGE) of nearly 20% in the period also rose.
While it did not conquer yearly highs, the market’s largest memecoin rose to a bullish USD $0.21, last seen in March this year, when the cryptocurrency market hit highs amid a bullish season.
Uniswap (UNI) posted an even better daily return of just over 30% to trade at USD $9, according to the same data source.
Meanwhile, other tokens such as Avalanche (AVAX), Chainlink (LINK), Sui (SUI), Aave (AAVE), Pepe (PEPE) and Dogwifhat (WIF), to name a few.
The price of Ethereum (ETH), the second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, rose to USD 2,640, with a gain of almost 9% in the last 24 hours, up 11% year-on-year.
