Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is set to testify before the U.S. Senate Banking Committee on Wednesday during a full committee hearing titled “From Wall Street to Web3: Building Tomorrow’s Digital Asset Markets.” Garlinghouse confirmed his participation via X on Monday, stating he was honored to join the discussion on the importance of advancing structural crypto legislation.
He will be joined by key industry figures including Summer Mersinger of the Blockchain Association, Chainalysis CEO Jonathan Levin, and Dan Robinson of Paradigm. The session will be led by Senate Banking Committee Republican Chairman Tim Scott, with participation from Senators Cynthia Lummis and Ruben Gallego, co-leaders of the Senate’s Digital Assets Subcommittee.
The hearing will examine legislative proposals aimed at shaping the future of the U.S. digital asset market, notably the GENIUS Act (focused on stablecoins) and the CLARITY Act (governing digital asset markets). Both bills have already passed significant legislative hurdles and are seen as key components of broader efforts to modernize crypto regulation.
Garlinghouse emphasized that well-structured regulatory frameworks are critical to fostering innovation and financial opportunity in the U.S., while ensuring consumer protection.
